Bring on summer with Music in the Park

Get your groove on with the much-anticipated return of West Kelowna’s popular, free Music in the Park program, starting Thursday, July 1, with a new venue for 2021 at Kinsmen Park on Shannon Lake Road.

We will offer four, one-hour sets with a maximum of 50 fans per show with up to six people per group within designated zones, in keeping with the latest Province of BC COVID-19 safe restart procedures.

First shovel in the ground for new skatepark in West Kelowna earmarks the start of construction at the City Hall/Library Building site

On June 15, West Kelowna Council and the Okanagan Regional Library (ORL), together with Westbank First Nation, broke ground at the new skatepark as part of the future City Hall/Library Building site in the City of West Kelowna.

COVID-19 safety protocols limited the ground breaking to only a few representatives from the partnering organizations, along with staffs’ focuses on social distancing protocols, mandatory mask use and continued.
