This includes public access to Municipal Hall, Public Works, Recreation and any other City facility opened to the public.

Temporary removal of Water Quality Advisory for Lakeview-Rose Valley SystemFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Recent testing confirms water quality has returned to normal to help provide a reprieve for Lakeview-Rose Valley System customers before the next milestone of the Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant construction in November. In the following weeks, another tie-in will be completed on a 750mm water main that will connect the Lakeview-Rose Valley System to the future plant.

2020 Poppy Campaign launched
Acting Mayor Jayson Zilkie and Anne Fox, with Royal Canadian Legion’s Westbank Branch 288, officially kicked off the 2020 Poppy Campaign in West Kelowna in advance of Remembrance Day, with the rest of Council showing their support. In keeping with COVID-19 provincial health guidelines, City Staff and the Legion were able to coordinate masks and accommodate a safe, socially distanced presentation in place of the usual pinning ceremony.

Council considered and adopted the local area service and long-term borrowing bylaws with 229 of 8,267 future Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant property owners submitting petition-against forms prior to the October 2, 2020 deadline. Early works construction is nearly completed.
