In consultation with the Interior Health Authority, the City of West Kelowna has rescinded the Boil Water Notice for the Sunnyside/Pritchard water system.  The Boil Water Notice was required as a result of water system infrastructure impacts due to the emergency power outage in the area that started on the evening of Sunday, August 11.

The City of West Kelowna has closed the northbound lane of Brown Road, between Dobbin Road and Main Street, in Westbank Centre to repair a sinkhole in the pavement.

The southbound lane of this section of Brown Road remains open.

The City of West Kelowna has shut off water to a portion of Boucherie Centre due to an emergency valve replacement related to improvements on Ross Road.

Residents living on Applegreen Court, Hewl Road and portions of Ponderosa Road (see map) will experience water service disruptions today, Thursday, August 15.

Council Meeting

August 13, 2019 

Provincial Cannabis Store

Council agreed to accept a non-medical cannabis retail store rezoning application for a provincial government operated cannabis retail outlet at 2475 Dobbin Road. Council had considered the matter at its meeting on July 23 meeting but a motion to accept the application was defeated due to a tie vote.

The City of West Kelowna, in consultation with Interior Health, has upgraded this morning’s Water Quality Advisory to a Boil Water Notice for the Sunnyside/Pritchard Water System due to ongoing water supply challenges stemming from a continuing emergency power outage in the area.

Sunnyside/Pritchard water users are asked to conserve water at this time.
