    Glenrosa Road detour continues this weekend

    The Glenrosa Road detour will remain in place on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 for sidewalk preparation work to continue.

    Keeping the detour in place this weekend will help crews complete necessary sidewalk work, which will reduce the overall duration of the detour.

  • Water Quality Advisory issued for Lakeview-Rose Valley Water System (1)

    The City of West Kelowna, in consultation with Interior Health, is issuing a Water Quality Advisory for the Lakeview/Rose Valley System effective immediately and until further notice, due to increasing turbidity in the Rose Valley Reservoir.

    Increased turbidity can allow bacteria, viruses and microorganisms to attach themselves to the suspended particles in the turbid water avoiding chlorine disinfection.

    The City of West Kelowna will be able to replace its 21-year old ammonia chiller at Jim Lind Arena and Royal LePage Place, thanks to a $442,000 to a grant from the Province of BC.

    “We are extremely grateful to the Province for supporting the City of West Kelowna’s application under the Community Economic Recovery Infrastructure Program (CERIP),” said Mayor Gord Milsom.
