Brenda Renewables is proposing a facility at the former mine site near Peachland to process local municipal organic waste, yard waste, and bio solids to create renewable natural gas and high-nutrient compost. BC Housing provides update on Bartley Road temporary shelter
BC Housing and Turning Points Collaborative Society provided an update on the opening of a new temporary shelter. Turning Points is scheduled to open and operate the shelter the week of Nov. 15, at 2515 Bartley Road. The facility will offer 38 beds, bathrooms, warm meals and other amenities and supportive services for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness on the Westside. Okanagan Basin Water Board presents Source Water Protection Toolkit information
Source water protection safeguards the quantity and quality of groundwater and is the first barrier in minimizing impacts on human health. A 40-member committee, consisting of local and Indigenous government representatives and water experts, created a Source Water Protection Toolkit to provide best practices that Okanagan Valley water purveyors can use to safeguard their sources.
