The City of West Kelowna invites the community to view our draft 2020 Annual Report and provide comments.
Despite COVID-19, we pressed forward with several key infrastructure projects and community initiatives, including the start of Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant civil site works, Glenrosa Road active transportation improvements, our Community Vision and relief for people facing financial hardships due to the pandemic.

Statement on Kamloops Indian Residential School discovery
In response to the heartbreaking news of the discovery of the remains of the 215 children at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School, the Mayor expressed deepest condolences to the lost children’s families, the neighbouring First Nations communities in Kamloops, our good neighbours Westbank First Nation, and across the province and country. This tragic discovery shines a light on the truths.

West Kelowna Council has received a report for the June 8 Regular Council Meeting that provides a look-ahead of the communication and engagement program to be launched June 14 for the City Hall/Library Building.
Since the onset of COVID-19 in March 2020, staff has focused on ensuring that construction for the Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant was well underway as Council’s top priority project.
