Notice of private contractor completing active transportation upgrades on Anders RoadDate of Issue: Friday, March 21, 2025
Beginning Monday, March 24, Matcon Construction will begin work on Anders Road for active transportation improvements, requiring modified traffic patterns.
Matcon Construction is set to complete stormwater upgrades, install a bike lane and a sidewalk and add street lighting on Anders Road from the roundabout on Boucherie Road to just past Anders Park.

The City of West Kelowna is pleased to announce that it has signed a municipal operating agreement with FortisBC to secure a new long-term revenue source for the benefit of our community.

The City of West Kelowna is issuing a precautionary isolated Water Quality Advisory, effectively immediately and until further notice, for parts of Glenrosa, due to an accidental contractor-related water main break, in the Salmon Road area. Some residents on Gates and Salmon Roads, and Stonegate Court, within the immediate area of the break are on a Boil Water Notice.

Starting the week of March 17, crews will begin sweeping in the Gellatly Bay, Glen Canyon and Goats Peak neighbourhoods and working their way to higher elevations.

Contract crews, working on behalf of local utilities, will require single lane alternating traffic, during the second half of this week, on Boucherie Road, between Gregory and Ogden Roads, and on Old Okanagan Highway from Shannon Lake Road to Butt Road, for fiber optic installation.
On Boucherie Road, from Gregory Road to Ogden Road, motorists can expect minor delays during the roadside work, which is scheduled between 7 a.
