  • Ross Road Closed a Little Longer - Detours in Effect until Sept. 11

    Due to added required work as part of the construction of Ross Road sidewalks and storm sewer infrastructure, the westbound lane, between Brentwood Road and Riffington Place will remain closed for two more weeks. Bus stops along this stretch will also remain closed.

    The Regional District of Central Okanagan is proposing amended Development Cost Charges (DCC) to assist with future improvements to the Westside Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant and East Trunk Sanitary Sewer Main. 

    The proposed DCCs will be used to invest in sewage and waste water collection and treatment infrastructure required due to growth in the community.

    Kids return to classes after Labour Day and drivers must slow down, leave their phones alone, yield to buses, watch for children walking and cycling and obey parking signs.

    Starting September 3, West Kelowna RCMP and Bylaw Compliance Officers will be at school zones around West Kelowna issuing friendly reminders to stick to speed limits in school zones and park in designated areas.
