Information Session and Open House on Proposed Development Cost Charges

The Regional District of Central Okanagan is proposing amended Development Cost Charges (DCC) to assist with future improvements to the Westside Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant and East Trunk Sanitary Sewer Main.

The proposed DCCs will be used to invest in sewage and waste water collection and treatment infrastructure required due to growth in the community. These fees specifically support development in Peachland, West Kelowna, and Westbank First Nation Tsinstikeptum Reserves No. 9 and 10, which are serviced by the infrastructure.

The current DCC rates paid by developers and builders have been in place since 2010 for the plant and 2004 for the East Trunk sanitary sewer collection main.
