The City of West Kelowna has won the Canadian Award for Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of Canada and the United States for the 2023 Audited Financial Statements and Annual Report.
“Congratulations to Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Trevor Seibel and his team in the Finance and Communications and Engagement Departments and many other staff who contributed to this award-winning collaboration,” said Mayor Gord Milsom on behalf of West Kelowna Council. “The honor is a significant accomplishment for the City of West Kelowna and reflects Council and the City’s ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in financial reporting.”
The Canadian Award for Financial Reporting recognizes municipal governments that publish high-quality reports, which demonstrate the spirit of full disclosure and clearly communicate a municipality’s financial picture.
2023 Annual Report
The 2023 Annual Report, which contains the Year in Review and the 2023 Audited Financial Statements, is available for public review below or you can download a copy.
The Annual Report provides an easy to read summary of the activities and accomplishments that support moving our community forward. As a rapidly growing and vibrant city, we have made significant progress to address infrastructure needs of our community and deliver programs and services, guided by Council’s Strategic Priorities. In addition to highlighting our program, service and project achievements for the last full operating year, the Annual Report also provides the City’s permissive tax exemptions and grants in aid.

Annual Reports provide a transparent accounting of the city's fiscal position and its performance measures and highlights from the past full operating year in the delivery of programs, projects and services.
