The City of West Kelowna is responsible for conducting a fair and impartial election process. The City of West Kelowna does not provide information on candidates' platforms nor their positions on specific topics, nor does the municipality host candidate forums. Candidates have provided their informatoin and the City of West Kelowna is not responsible for errors, omissions or content posted through any provided links such as social media or websites. Candidates are not official spokespersons for the City of West Kelowna.

Nomination papers are collected and reported under guidelines of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and Elections BC. In accordance with Local Government Act, Section 89 (9), a person who inspects or otherwise accesses nomination documents under this section must not use the information included in them except for the purposes of this act or purposes authorized under Section 63 of the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act. Use of city logos and materials
Candidates are prohibited from using or altering the City of West Kelowna’s logos, city colours, graphics, or any other item of City intellectual property for any and all campaign-related purposes. This includes but is not limited to all print and electronic materials including signs, flyers, brochures, e-mails, websites, social media, photography, videography, business cards, postcards, letterheads, leaflets, posters, fridge magnets and promotional items.
The City of West Kelowna acts as a neutral party, ensuring fairness and transparency to effectively conduct the 2026 General Local Election and will not endorse or support candidates' uses of city logos, symbols or materials.

Proof is required using the Non-resident Elector Consent Form. Bring the form to the polling station when voting; or obtain the form from the polling station and return to vote with the completed and signed document.
Anyone who is eligible to vote in West Kelowna may vote by mail ballot instead of an in-person voting opportunity.

Mail ballot packages will be provided to voters as soon as possible after the ballots are printed. You can select one of the following options to receive your mail ballot package:
You are responsible for ensuring that the Chief Election Officer receives your completed mail ballot package no later than 8 p.m. on General Voting Day, Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026.
Please note: The deadline to receive ballots, via mail, is Friday, Oct. 16 as mail is not delivered to City Hall on Saturdays.
You may have someone drop off your mail ballot package, on your behalf, to West Kelowna City Hall, at 3731 Old Okanagan Highway, during regular office hours, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays, up to Friday, Oct. 16. Offices are closed Sept. 30 for National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and Oct. 12 for Thanksgiving.
The Chief Election Officer will also accept mail ballots through the secure drop box, look for the labelled drop box sign, outside of City Hall until 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The City of West Kelowna uses same-day voter registration. Voters do not need to register in advance to vote in the City of West Kelowna general local election.
Voters must present at least two pieces of acceptable identification at the voting station that show proof of identity and place of residence. At least one of the two forms of ID must contain a signature:

Voter accessibility assistance
The City of West Kelowna makes every effort to ensure polling stations are accessible.
If you find that a polling station is difficult to access, curbside voting is available. Simply ask another voter to inform election staff of your need for assistance and election staff will bring your ballot to your vehicle.
If you require an interpreter, please bring one with you to the polling station.
If you are unable to mark your own ballot, you may ask a relative, friend or election staff to assist you.
