Central Okanagan Emergency Operations
In the event of a wildfire or natural disaster visit cordemergency.ca for information on evacuation alerts and orders, emergency reception centre locations, and other important details including how to safely return to your home after a wildfire.
To report a wildfire or irresponsible behaviour that could start a wildfire in British Columbia, please call 1-800-663-5555 or (*5555 from a cell phone) as soon as possible. Information from the public is crucial to an effective response. If there is threat to life call 9-1-1.
Be prepared
Emergencies and disasters happen and could mean leaving your home or business for several days. It's important for everyone to take time to prepare in the event you may need to evacuate.
The Province of British Columbia recommends three steps to Emergency Preparedness at home or at work:
Learn more about Emergency Preparedness by visiting the Federal emergency preparedness website or the Provincial emergency preparedness website.
