The West Kelowna Bulk Water Station is a subscription based service that provides an affordable option to efficiently supply large volumes to residential and commercial customers.

  • The station is supplied by the Powers Creek Treatment Plant, which uses a multi-barrier process to provide drinking water that meets provincial and national standards.
  • Once a customer applies to use the service, the station can be accessed via code, which is provided at the time of subscription.
  • Operating instructions are located at the station, or can also be downloaded from this page.

Apply to Use the Station

  • Please complete our online form and email the completed application to Utility Billing or deliver in person to City Hall at 3731 Old Okanagan Highway, West Kelowna, BC, V4T 0G7.
  • Business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.

Fees

  • The bulk water rate is $1.57 per cubic metre.
  • Customers are also charged a one-time fee of $35.00 to set up an account and obtain an access code.
  • These fees are based on existing water rates for other customers in the City of West Kelowna and levies charged at similar facilities in BC.
  • Rates are subject to change.
  • During Water Quality Advisories, Boil Water Notices and Do Not Consume Orders, the filling station can be accessed for free.

Location

The station is located at the corner of Asquith Road and Shannon Lake Road.

Operating Instructions

Details on how to use the station are provided on the side of the building or can be downloaded and printed and taken with you.

 Temporary Water Use Permit Application

The City of West Kelowna may consider the temporary use of fire hydrants or standpipes for bulk water access when the bulk water station is not a feasible option, outside of fire protection use. This is in accordance with the City's Water Regulation Bylaw.

Download the Temporary Water Use Permit and submit to our Public Works - Utilities Department by email at utilities@westkelownacity.ca.
