August 28, 2019Kids return to classes after Labour Day and drivers must slow down, leave their phones alone, yield to buses, watch for children walking and cycling and obey parking signs.
Starting September 3, West Kelowna RCMP and Bylaw Compliance Officers will be at school zones around West Kelowna issuing friendly reminders to stick to speed limits in school zones and park in designated areas.
Aquatic Centre Closed for Annual TLCFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 26, 2019The usual late summer maintenance shutdown at Johnson Bentley Aquatic Centre begins Saturday, August 31.
Crews must close the pool section of the facility for cleaning and minor repairs for two weeks through Sunday, September 15.

Boil Water Notice Rescinded for Sunnyside/Pritchard Water SystemFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

In consultation with the Interior Health Authority, the City of West Kelowna has rescinded the Boil Water Notice for the Sunnyside/Pritchard water system. The Boil Water Notice was required as a result of water system infrastructure impacts due to the emergency power outage in the area that started on the evening of Sunday, August 11.

The City of West Kelowna has closed the northbound lane of Brown Road, between Dobbin Road and Main Street, in Westbank Centre to repair a sinkhole in the pavement.
The southbound lane of this section of Brown Road remains open.
