  • Localized Water Quality Advisory Rescinded For Rose Valley Properties

    In consultation with Interior Health, the City of West Kelowna has rescinded a Water Quality Advisory for Rose Valley Properties. 

    The advisory had been required since Tuesday, September 3 because of higher than normal turbidity, which was the result of a water line break at a construction site.

  • Water Quality Advisory Issued for Portion of Rose Valley Properties

    In consultation with Interior Health, the City of West Kelowna has issued a Water Quality Advisory, effective immediately and until further notice for customers in Rose Valley subdivision including Mar Jok Elementary School, the commercial building at 2081 McDougall Road and the church at 2170 McDougall Road. Crews are flushing, monitoring, and testing the system in an effort to restore water quality as soon as possible.

    The Regional District of Central Okanagan is proposing amended Development Cost Charges (DCC) to assist with future improvements to the Westside Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant and East Trunk Sanitary Sewer Main. 

    The proposed DCCs will be used to invest in sewage and waste water collection and treatment infrastructure required due to growth in the community.
