Watermain flushing program wraps up for the year
Date of Issue: Friday, Dec. 5, 2025
With the arrival of the wintery weather, the City of West Kelowna’s watermain flushing program has officially wrapped up for the year in the Rose Valley Water Service Area, and crews will resume work in the spring with warmer temperatures.
Currently, no Water Quality Advisories are in effect in the City of West Kelowna’s Rose Valley or Powers Creek Water Service Areas.
We thank customers for their patience as crews made good progress with watermain flushing in 2025 in many neighborhoods of the Rose Valley Water Service Area, including Sunnyside, Rose Valley Properties, Lakeview Heights, Boucherie Centre, the West Kelowna Business Park and sections of Tallus Ridge, Shannon Woods and Shannon Heights.
Work is expected to resume in remaining areas of Shannon Lake in the spring before moving to other neighbourhoods to be determined and shared with customers once established in the New Year.
