FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023

Beginning next week, construction crews will conduct watermain connection work along Boucherie and Ogden Roads, which may impact water service in the area for one day.

On Wednesday, Oct. 11, Bluepoint Construction crews are scheduled to do watermain tie-in work at the intersection of Boucherie and Ogden Roads. This work is required to connect residents to the Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant (RVWTP) scheduled to be completed later this fall.

As part of this ongoing work, properties may experience low water pressure from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We are also encouraging residents to reduce their water consumption during this time to allow crews to restore the water system as soon as possible safely and efficiently.

Transmission main work has occurred concurrently to construction at RVWTP and ongoing improvements at the Menu Pump Station.

Areas of low water pressure and reduced water consumption:

  • Ogden Road
  • Westbrook Drive
  • Westview Road
  • McCartney Road
  • Montigny Road
  • Regal Road
  • Cox Road
  • Addison Road
  • Kitson Court
  • Oak Barrel Place
  • Boucherie Road (between Ogden and Gregory Roads)

Areas of reduced water consumption:

  • Trevor Drive
  • Joyce Road
  • Paula Road
  • Guidi Road
  • Lakeview Cove Road
  • Rock Rose Place
  • Michael Drive
  • Lynden Road
  • Avondale Place
  • Cordova Way
  • Arlington Place

Please note, this work is subject to weather conditions, contractor schedule changes and other factors.

The City of West Kelowna and construction crews thank residents for their patience during construction.
