Reggae and Latin rhythms fill the air at Music in the Park this Friday
Grab your lawn chairs, bring your friends and family, and join us at Music in the Park this Friday, Aug. 7 for a free evening of Caribbean and Latin-inspired vibes under the summer sky at the Annette Beaudreau Amphitheatre in Memorial Park.
7 p.m. – TG + J Byrd – Reggae
8 p.m. – Alma Kubana – Latin
Feel the energy with Kelowna-based duo T.G. & J Byrd who will bring their signature reggae and dancehall sound to the stage, filling the park with upbeat Jamaican rhythms and positive vibes. The night continues with Alma Kubana, whose vibrant blend of traditional Cuban music, Latin jazz, and salsa is sure to get the crowd dancing.
Music in the Park details
Music in the Park runs through to Friday, August 28, with concerts taking place every Friday evening. Each show runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and usually features an emerging artist, opening act, and headliner. The emerging artist takes the stage at approximately 6:40 p.m., the opening act at 7 p.m., and the headliner at 8 p.m. Please note that set times are subject to change.

On-site fun and food
Families can also enjoy the Fun Zone, hosted by West Kelowna Recreation and Culture, featuring games and activities for all ages. A variety of food trucks will be on site each week serving local food and beverages.
Parking information
Free parking is available in several locations, including Carrington Court, courtesy of Westbank First Nation, and at the corner of Old Okanagan Highway and Ingram Road. A parking map is available at westkelownacity.ca/musicinthepark.
Concert postponement
If a concert needs to be postponed due to extreme weather, poor air quality, or emergencies, notice will be shared by 6:30 p.m. on event day via the City’s official social media channels.
