GoByBike Week rolls into West Kelowna Sept 19-25

Fall GoByBike Week is coming up September 19-25. This annual event includes various events and activities throughout the community to promote travelling by two wheels. The City is reminding residents to expect extra pedal and foot traffic throughout the community and to pay extra attention in school zones.

Whether cycling is part of your daily routine, or something you want to do more often, residents are encouraged to register and log their rides at gobybikebc.ca for the chance to win grand prizes.

Stop by the celebration station for games and prizes on Monday, Sept. 21 from 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. at 1900 Quail Lane where West Kelowna Recreation and Culture staff are joining Westbank First Nation.

The City of West Kelowna's Transportation Master Plan supports expanding active transportation options by creating safer, more connected cycling routes and encouraging residents to choose sustainable travel modes for everyday trips. GoByBike Week aligns with the City's goal of reducing reliance on single-occupancy vehicles while supporting healthier, more affordable, and environmentally sustainable transportation choices.
