Precautionary Boil Water Notice Issued for Parts Of Westbank Centre
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 10, 2019The City of West Kelowna is issuing a precautionary boil water notice for parts of the downtown core – Westbank Centre - due to a water main break on Old Okanagan Highway.
The area affected stretches from Paynter Road continuing east to Carrall Road and from Butt Road south as far as Powers Creek.

Water Quality Advisory Continues Lakeview SystemFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 07, 2019Working in conjunction with the Interior Health Authority, the City of West Kelowna has issued a Water Quality Advisory for the Lakeview Water System due to elevated turbidity in water drawn from the Rose Valley Reservoir.
A Water Quality Advisory means children, the elderly, people with weakened immunity and anyone else seeking added protection should use boiled water, or an alternate, safe source, for drinking, brushing teeth, washing fruits and vegetables, preparing.

Localized Water Quality Advisory Rescinded For Rose Valley PropertiesFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 06, 2019In consultation with Interior Health, the City of West Kelowna has rescinded a Water Quality Advisory for Rose Valley Properties.
The advisory had been required since Tuesday, September 3 because of higher than normal turbidity, which was the result of a water line break at a construction site.

September 03, 2019In consultation with Interior Health, the City of West Kelowna has issued a Water Quality Advisory, effective immediately and until further notice for customers in Rose Valley subdivision including Mar Jok Elementary School, the commercial building at 2081 McDougall Road and the church at 2170 McDougall Road. Crews are flushing, monitoring, and testing the system in an effort to restore water quality as soon as possible.

The City of West Kelowna, in consultation with Interior Health, has upgraded this morning’s Water Quality Advisory to a Boil Water Notice for the Sunnyside/Pritchard Water System due to ongoing water supply challenges stemming from a continuing emergency power outage in the area.
Sunnyside/Pritchard water users are asked to conserve water at this time.
