The City of West Kelowna, in cooperation with Interior Health, has rescinded a Boil Water Notice enacted February 04, 2020 after an accidental water main break.

The City of West Kelowna thanks customers for their patience and understanding while crews and officials conducted immediate repairs, completed mandatory post-repair water main flushing and conducted the obligatory consecutive days of system testing and laboratory analyses in order to confirm that the.

The City of West Kelowna, in cooperation with Interior Health, has rescinded the Water Quality Notice in the Lakeview System.

The water quality advisory was required January 24 after several monitoring stations in the Lakeview Heights North area began recording high turbidity.

The City of West Kelowna is issuing a Water Quality Advisory for the entire Lakeview System, effective immediately and until further notice, due to high turbidity registering at several monitoring locations in the Lakeview Heights area. Crews are working to determine the source of the high turbidity.

The Boil Water Notice was required December 17 after an accidental line break at a non-municipal construction site caused a chain reaction that ultimately caused damage to the chlorination system at Rose Valley Reservoir.

The City of West Kelowna, in cooperation with Interior Health, is issuing a Boil Water Notice for the Lakeview System, due to a mechanical failure at the 45-year-old chlorination facility at Rose Valley Reservoir. 

If the account number on your utility bill starts with 455, you are in the Lakeview Water System.

Signs will be posted in areas where crews are flushing mains.

The City of West Kelowna has rescinded the precautionary Boil Water Notice put in place on October 10 for parts of the downtown core – Westbank Centre - which was the result of a water main break on Old Okanagan Highway.

The Water Quality Advisory remains in place for the Lakeview System.
