Youth engagement now open for Memorial Park

Are you age 12-24? Do you know someone who is 12-24? The City of West Kelowna wants to hear from you about what new features you think should be included in Memorial Park.

We’re looking at opportunities to expand the Active Zone next to the skatepark with activities and improvements that support regular use of the park by youth. Do you want a basketball court? An epic hill slide? A ping pong table? Or keep the space open? Let us know!

How to get involved

• Fill out our survey online or stop by City Hall to grab a copy to fill out to share what you want to see in Memorial Park.
• Stop by our pop-up booth at Music in the Park this Friday.
• Prefer to show us your ideas? Print out a Memorial Park Vision Board and show us your ideas.

About Memorial Park

The City is updating the Memorial Park Plan, which was last completed in 2013. Memorial Park serves as a key gathering space for community events and daily recreation and is home to City Hall, the public library, Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre, Annette Beaudreau Amphitheatre, skate park, playground and open green space.
