Your guide to the 2025 holiday season in West Kelowna
Date of Issue: Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025
Season’s Greetings, West Kelowna! We wish you a safe and happy holiday season.
City Hall and other administrative offices will be closed from 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, to 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2026, but essential services, such as curbside waste collection, fire/rescue, policing, sewer and water operations, and transit will remain available. Recreational programs, such as public skating will also be available for those looking for fun-filled activities during the holidays.
For a list of community events happening over the holidays, please visit visitwestside.com/events.
Winter roads maintenance
Roads are cleared on a priority basis; for more information, including an interactive map of our roads priorities, please go to westkelownacity.ca/snow. If snow is in the forecast, please help our crews by parking off-street when it snows and for up to 48 hours after it stops snowing to ensure plows can clear your street efficiently and safely.
Recreational programs
Make the most of the holidays by enjoying some skating - check out our Holiday 2025 Public Skating Schedule, running from Dec. 22 – Jan. 4 or visit westkelownacity.ca/skating. You can also get into the holiday spirit by taking our Twinkle Tour. Find the mobile-friendly map at OurWK.ca/TwinkleTour and go on a self-guided tour of the many light displays that are bringing joy to our community this season.
