Westside Daze road closures and minor traffic interruptions

On Saturday, July 9, road closures and minor traffic interruptions will be in effect in Westbank Centre to accommodate activities planned for Westside Daze.
From 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. the following closures will be in place for set-up of the parade:
Brendalee Road
Hoskins Road from Drought to Apollo Roads
Butt Road, Bering Road, Gossett Road, Apollo Road and Drought Road from Brown Road to Old Okanagan Highway
The parade will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting on Old Okanagan Highway from Butt to Drought Roads and returning along Brown to Butt Roads.
Parking is restricted along the parade route to accommodate participants and spectators.

Beginning at 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, minor traffic interruptions are expected during the CycleKarts Grand Prix and Drag Races:
Drought Road from Hoskins to Brown Roads
Brown Road from Drought to Bering Roads
Apollo Road from Hoskins to Brown Roads
Gossett Road from Hoskins to Brown Roads
Bering Road from Hoskins to Brown Roads
From 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., a portion of Paynter Road adjacent to Dogwood Nursery and Landscaping will host the CycleKarts Gravity Race.

Access will be maintained for residents and businesses in the affected areas. Please be mindful of all flaggers and Westside Daze volunteers aiding with controlling traffic.
Fireworks are planned for 10 p.m. at the Gellatly waterfront, weather permitting. A large no boating zone will be enforced around the barge in Gellatly Bay. Boaters are reminded to keep speeds down, keep wakes low and do not approach the fireworks barge.
Visit the City of West Kelowna Recreation and Culture staff tent during Westside Daze Kids Fair from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 9. West Kelowna Fire and Rescue will be there, too!
