The City of West Kelowna thanks the Greater Westside Board of Trade for honoring Music in the Park with the Arts and Entertainment Award at the 24th Annual Key Business Awards on Thursday, Feb. 26.
“Music in the Park is a success because it brings our community together to celebrate local talent and create joyful, memorable summer evenings for our community,” said West Kelowna Mayor Gord Milsom. “A huge congratulations to everyone involved including fans, performers, staff, volunteers, partners and sponsors whose passion and devotion continue to make West Kelowna a vibrant, connected, and joyful place to live and truly the place to be!”
The free Friday night Music in the Park concerts are held at Annette Beaudreau Amphitheatre in Memorial Park throughout the summer. The 2025 season included popular performances ranging from talented new, local singer/songwriters, such as Lucas Wentworth, to electrifying live music experiences such as Lips – the Ultimate Rolling Stones Experience and the Hip Replacements, plus many other extraordinary artists and entertainers.
“This award shines a spotlight on the incredible creativity and dedication that our recreation, culture and tourism staff, together with our contractor, sponsors and supporters from throughout our community, pour into ensuring that Music in the Park remains a beloved, annual tradition,” said City of West Kelowna Chief Administrative Officer Ron Bowles. “From coordinating performers and volunteers to creating a welcoming space for families, the team, together with our committed community, set this event apart.”
The City of West Kelowna will be gearing up shortly for an amazing 2026 summer concert season. Please, stay tuned!
