Tree/vegetation removals at future City Hall site
Starting this week, City of West Kelowna’s Parks operations crews will begin the removal of 15 Ponderosa pine trees prior to the start of nesting season.
Trees located throughout the 1.5 acre site located at 3731 Old Okanagan Highway are in a state of decline impacted by disease and will be removed and replaced as part of the overall site works for the future City Hall/Library Building before the arrival of spring. Future plans include restoring trees, grasses and other vegetation varieties over and above what is there today.
Work is scheduled to be completed before the end of the week.
Next steps will see the preliminary design public engagement of the City Hall/Library Building scheduled to begin this spring.
See the latest update heading to Council on Tuesday.
