Thacker Drive South and Kerry Lane Watermain Break - Oct. 20, 2023

Crews successfully completed all of the watermain repairs and water service was returned to normal late on Friday evening.

Crews have completed repairs on the watermain break and are now working to recharge the system, with normal service/pressure expected later tonight.

If customers notice any discolouration, they should run the cold water tap for several minutes until it runs clear.

We thank customers for their patience during repairs.

Repairs are ongoing, but are expected to be completed by 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. - estimate. Customers may experience some low pressure while the system recharges.

When normal service/pressure returns, run cold tap until water is clear. We thank customers for their patience during these repairs.

Notice of watermain break - Thacker Drive South and Kerry Lane:
Residents will be experiencing low to no water pressure as crews repair the waterman break. Cause is unknown.

The City thanks residents for their patience and asks motorists to watch for crews at work, obey signs and go slow in cone zones.

Residents can obtain water from the bulk filling station at Shannon Lake and Asquith Roads – please bring clean bottles for filling. Status updates to follow as more information becomes available.
