Minor traffic interruptions expected for World of Wheels Car Show this Saturday

Motorists are advised to expect minor traffic delays on Saturday, July 19 due to the World of Wheels Car Show at Kinsmen Athletic Park at 3170 Shannon Lake Road.

The free, family-friendly event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but traffic may be impacted throughout the day, particularly near the intersections of Shannon Lake Road, Shannon Way, and Asquith Road, as volunteers and participants set up and take down.

Traffic control personnel and event volunteers will be on-site to help ensure safe access for attendees and participants.

Access will be maintained for:

• Emergency vehicles
• Area residents
• The Westside Residential Waste Disposal and Recycling Centre
• Local businesses including Shannon Lake Convenience Store and Neighbours Pub/Liquor Store

Motorists are asked to drive with caution in the area and watch for volunteers and flaggers assisting with traffic flow.

Please note: Kinsmen Athletic Park will be closed from approximately 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the event. However, the playground will remain open to the public during this time.
