FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Friday, Oct. 1, 2021
Be a part of history and help shape West Kelowna’s first purpose-built City Hall and permanent home for the Library. The deadline to provide feedback on the Detailed Design is fast approaching and we want to hear from you.
Share your thoughts and ideas by Sunday, Oct. 3 to help guide the final design of the City Hall/Library Building.
It is easy to get involved!
  • Take a virtual tour of the Open House display boards
  • Watch the video design animations
  • Complete the questionnaire
  • Visit the Ideas portal – like, share, comment or contribute your own ideas about community gathering spaces, landscaping and outdoor lighting and seating.
  • Contact the Project team at cityhallproject@westkelownacity.ca or 778-797-1234
Installation of underground utilities to service the building is underway. The project is anticipated to be complete in winter 2022, subject to construction timelines and other factors.
The City-owned site located at 3731 Old Okanagan Highway will provide greater civic services to the area with the centralization of the City’s administration, provide a permanent home for the West Kelowna Library, and include constituency offices of the Member of Parliament and Member of Legislative Assembly.
With its proximity to Westbank Centre, Memorial Park, Johnson Bentley Aquatic Centre and the Annette Beaudreau Memorial Amphitheatre, the area will be a welcoming place to gather and a catalyst to area revitalization.
