Join the 4,000 customers who have already signed up for our easy e-bill delivery

Date of Issue: Friday, April 25, 2025

Receiving your City of West Kelowna quarterly utility bills and annual property tax notices is easier when it’s done electronically – one-in-four customers already do, and you can, too.

Nearly 4,000 customers are already signed up to receive their bills electronically, increasing by approximately 1,000 since the Canada Post strike last fall. With the possibility of another postal strike as early as May 22, the City encourages customers to consider e-delivery to ensure you receive your bills, make payments on time, and avoid late fees or interest penalties, which we are required to apply, though we would prefer not to.

Sign up today at https://online.westkelownacity.ca. Once you’ve registered your account, you will receive your next utility bill or property tax notice via the email you provide. Your secure account will also allow you to check your bills, balances and payments anytime, online.

To receive 2025 property tax notice by e-delivery, we recommend signing up by next Wednesday, April 30.

After receiving your utility bill or property tax notice by email, you can then simply go online and pay through your financial institution in just a few simple steps.

For quarterly utility bills:

  1. Select West Kelowna – Utilities as the payee.
  2. You will need the account number from your utility bill.
  3. Pay the amount indicated on your bill.
  4. Retain payment confirmation.
  5. Please allow a few business days for the bank’s payment to reach us on time; once it does, your account will be updated to reflect that we’ve received your payment.

For property taxes:

  1. Select WEST KELOWNA – TAXES as the payee.
  2. Use your roll number starting with 364 as the account number, with no dashes, spaces, or periods.
  3. Record your transaction confirmation, which must have a date of July 2, 2025 or earlier.
  4. Please allow a few business days for the bank’s payment to reach us on time; once it does, your account will be updated to reflect that we’ve received your payment.

Other payment options include:

  1. In person, by cash, cheque or debit, at City Hall at 3731 Old Okanagan Highway during business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday; excluding holidays.
  2. Afterhours, by cheque, using our 24/7 drop box at City Hall, at 3731 Old Okanagan Highway; the clearly marked drop box is on the south side of City Hall, facing towards the aquatic centre, across from the EV charging stations.
  • Make payable to City of West Kelowna.
  • We recommend including the stub from your bill or property tax notice, writing your account or folio number in the memo line, and placing the cheque in an envelope before depositing it in the drop box.

The City does not accept credit cards; however, customers can arrange to pay by credit card through third-party providers such as Plastiq and PaySimply.
