Helpful utility billing solutions are available during Canada Post rotating strikes
Date of Issue: Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025
City of West Kelowna customers are encouraged to use online and in-person services to view and pay their utility bill on time and avoid any late fees. Quarterly utility bills were sent on Oct. 17 and due to rotating Canada Post strikes, return payments sent in the mail may be delayed in reaching the City.
To avoid unnecessary penalties, payment for bills must be received by the due date indicated on your bill. For this quarter’s utility bill, payment is due by Saturday, Nov. 15. Late fees are applied immediately following the due date and cannot be reversed.
Customers can sign up to view their bills online at https://online.westkelownacity.ca and check balances and payments anytime. Online payments can be made through most financial institutions:
- Select West Kelowna – Utilities as the payee.
- Pay the amount indicated on your bill.
- Retain payment confirmation.
- Allow a few business days for the bank’s payment to reach the City on time; once it does, your online account will be updated to confirm receipt.
Once registered online, customers can also sign up to have future utility bills emailed.
People can also pay in person at City Hall at 3731 Old Okanagan Highway from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. If you haven’t received your bill through the mail, staff can assist you in person by looking up your bill, accepting payment, and providing a receipt.
Please note, customers may notice that the consumption portion of the fall utility bill is higher because it contains peak use from the summer months including irrigating lawns, filling pools, etc.
If you have further questions about your utility bill, please email ub.finance@westkelownacity.ca, call 778-797-8850 or visit us at City Hall.
