Help West Kelowna Fire Rescue and the food bank feed our community this holiday season

Date of Issue: Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025

The season of giving is here, and West Kelowna Fire Rescue is proud to once again partner with the Central Okanagan Food Bank for the 28th Annual Holiday Food Drive. Together, they’re working to ensure everyone in our community has enough to eat this winter.

Firefighters will be out spreading holiday cheer and collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations through both door-to-door visits and drop-off locations at all four fire stations. Every dollar donated helps make an even greater impact, as the Food Bank’s buying power means that $1 provides $4 worth of food for local families in need.

Most needed items:

  • Healthy cereal
  • Ready to feed formula
  • Diapers (Size newborn to 4)
  • Boxed stuffing
  • Pancake mix
  • Syrup and jams
  • Canned vegetables
  • Rice
  • Canned cranberry
  • Chunk soup
  • Pasta/ pasta sauce
  • Whole wheat crackers
  • Sugar (small bags)
  • Or visit www.cofoodbank.com/donate

How you can help:

  • Door-to-door collection: Keep an eye out for firefighters and staff collecting non-perishable food and cash donations on: Tuesday, Dec. 2 and Wednesday, Dec. 3.
  • Donation drop-off: Donations can be dropped off until Jan. 4, 2026, at any of the following locations:
    • Station 31 – Westbank, 3651 Old Okanagan Highway
    • Station 32 – Lakeview Heights, 860 Anders Road
    • Station 33 – Rose Valley, 1805 Westlake Road
    • Station 34 – Glenrosa, 3399 Gates Road
    • City Hall – 3731 Old Okanagan Highway

Your generosity helps fill plates and hearts across the Greater Westside. Thank you for supporting local families and helping West Kelowna Fire Rescue keep the spirit of giving alive year after year.
