Gellatly-Carrington intersection set to open ahead of August long weekend
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tuesday, July 27, 2021

Construction of the new roundabout at Gellatly-Carrington Roads is almost complete and the intersection is set to re-open permanently to motorists on Thursday, July 29 at approximately 6 p.m.
Final landscaping work will continue over the next several weeks with minimal impacts to traffic.
The $1.32 million Gellatly-Carrington Roundabout Project also includes a three-metre-wide, paved multi-use path between Witt and Boucherie Roads, which is scheduled for completion in September. This connection will create a key connection between Westbank Centre and the waterfront, and includes minor in-stream storm work improvements to Smith Creek.
We would like to thank residents and businesses for their patience during construction. To learn more about the Gellatly-Carrington roundabout project visit ourwk.ca/gellatly-roundabout
