Don’t miss out on Westside Daze celebrations this weekend

Join the City of West Kelowna at this weekend’s Westside Daze festivities!
Enjoy annual Westside Daze community events, hosted by the Westside Celebration Society, from Friday evening July 12 through Sunday afternoon, July 14. The City of West Kelowna is a proud supporter of Westside Daze and is looking forward to joining in on the fun at the parade on Saturday, July 13 at 10:30 a.m. and the Kids Fair and family activities at Memorial Park from noon to 6:00 p.m. along with live music and performances at the Annette Beaudreau Amphitheatre until 10:00 p.m.
🚧 Parade route information and traffic advisory
On Saturday, July 13, road closures and minor traffic interruptions will be in effect in Westbank Centre to accommodate activities planned for the Westside Daze parade.
Parade road closures:
- 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for staging
- Brendalee Road, Hoskins Road from Drought to Apollo Roads, and Butt, Bering, Gossett, Apollo and Drought Roads between Brown Road and Old Okanagan Highway
- 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the parade
- Old Okanagan Highway from Butt Road to Drought Road
- Drought Road from Old Okanagan Highway to Brown Road
- Brown Road from Drought Road to Butt Road
- Butt Road from Brown Road to Old Okanagan Highway
Accesses to residences in these areas will be maintained. Parking is restricted along the parade route to accommodate participants and spectators.
🎉 Other Westside Daze activities you don’t want to miss
After the parade, visit our Recreation and Culture tent during the Kids Fair and family activities at Memorial Park from noon to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13. West Kelowna Fire and Rescue will be there, too!
Brand new this year, the Westside Daze Drone Show brought to you by FireSmart BC, will light up the sky above Annette Beaudreau Amphitheatre for the first time! Enjoy an evening of good music on Saturday and then stay seated in Memorial Park and look up to watch the show in the sky at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13.

⛱️ Ways to stay cool this weekend
As a reminder, the following locations in West Kelowna are available for the public to help stay cool during the current heat warning.
In and around West Kelowna:
- Cool off at a local beach
- Find some shade at one of the City’s parks
- Take breaks away from the heat by visiting the Westbank Museum
- Swim at Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre
In addition to our beaches and indoor facilities in West Kelowna, the Kids Care Spray Park is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Other places to go:
- Head to an air-conditioned space such as visiting the West Kelowna Okanagan Regional Library Branch (lower floor – 3731 Old Okanagan Hwy)
- Visit Greater Westside businesses such as local shops and restaurants
- Watch a movie at a local theatre or drop into a community centre to beat the heat
