New West Kelowna Council Sworn In
The City held the Inaugural Ceremony to mark the beginning of the 2022-2026 Council term. We are grateful to our guests Chaplain Don Richmond, representatives from West Kelowna RCMP and West Kelowna Fire Rescue, along with friends and families, for making this Inaugural Ceremony a special day.
The Oath of Office was administered to each member of West Kelowna Council, elected Oct. 15, 2022. Oaths were taken by:
Mayor Gord Milsom
Councillor Stephen Johnston
Councillor Rick de Jong
Councillor Tasha Da Silva
Councillor Jason Friesen
Councillor Carol Zanon
Councillor Garrett Millsap
The oaths of office were followed by an inaugural address by Mayor Milsom.

Council term appointments
Council approved the following appointments:
Mayor Milsom and Councillor Johnston to the Regional District of Central Okanagan Board as Municipal Directors for a four-year term, with Councillors de Jong and Friesen as Alternates
Councillor Friesen as representative to the Economic Development Committee for a one-year term, with Councillor Da Silva as Alternate
Councillor Da Silva to the Okanagan Regional Library Board for a one-year term, with Councillor Zanon as Alternate
Councillor de Jong to the Airport Advisory Committee for a one-year term, with Councillor Millsap as Alternate
Councillor Zanon as the Representative to the Municipal Insurance Association for a one-year term, with Councillor Millsap as Alternate
Councillor Millsap as the Representative to the Accessible Committee for a four-year term, with Councillor Zanon as Alternate
2022 General Local Election results
