BC Assessment gives presentation

BC Assessment provided an overview of the assessment and appeal process, classification variances, and West Kelowna assessment roll statistics as of July 1, 2022. The City of West Kelowna derives 93 per cent of its assessment from residential class and is seeing 15 per cent growth across all classes. BC Transit update and grant application support request for Kelowna Regional Transit System

Council received a presentation from BC Transit about their annual performance summary, transit service review and the operations and maintenance yard update. Council directed staff to prepare a letter of support for the grant application for a Kelowna Regional Transit System’s Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program to refurbish the Hardy Transit Centre to support transit growth and for the planning and design of the new Hollywood Transit Centre.

Land Use Contract Amendment for 753 Lindsay Court

Following a Public Hearing, Council gave third reading and adopted Land Use Contract Discharge Bylaw for 753 Lindsay Court to convert an existing accessory building into a carriage home.

Zoning Bylaw Amendment for 3746A Wetton Road

Following a Public Hearing, Council gave third reading to amend the Zoning Bylaw for 3746A Wetton Road for a proposed 12-unit townhouse complex. Council directed staff to schedule the bylaw for consideration of adoption following approval of the bylaw by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

Zoning Bylaw Amendment for 3858 Angus Drive

Council gave first and second reading to Zoning Bylaw Amendment for 3858 Angus Drive to rezone the property for construction of a duplex. Council also directed staff to schedule a Public Hearing for a future meeting.
