Glenrosa Roundabout Construction

Council was advised that construction will begin on a roundabout at the intersection of Glenrosa Road and Webber Road on September 5 primarily to provide an access road to the new Trails Development. Construction will be completed, and paid for, by the developer of the Trails. The intersection will be closed for approximately two months as the roundabout is constructed and a temporary detour route will be in place.

Proposed Telecom Tower

Council agreed to support the installation of a proposed Rogers Communication Inc. wireless telecommunications tower and accessory structure at 3031 McIver Road (Morningside Bible Camp). The tower will provide additional cell service in the Glenrosa area will be located in a remote area of the neighbourhood. No public opposition to the tower has been received.

Second Quarter Update

Council was provided with a second quarterly update outlining work done between April and June 2018 intended to meet the goals and objectives set out in Council’s 2018 Priorities document. The plan sets out targets for completion within Council’s five main priorities; Economic Development, Infrastructure, Safety and Security, Service Delivery and Social and Environmental.
