BC Ambulance makes presentation regarding response methods in the community

BC Ambulance Service staff gave an update on their emergency and urgent response procedures and resources for the Greater Westside.

Regional District of Central Okanagan provides update on mosquito control program

The Regional District of Central Okanagan invited West Kelowna to join the mosquito control program, which has identified 38 control sites with annual costs of $57,000. City staff will investigate further and report back to a future Council meeting with recommendations.

Gellatly Bay Trails and Parks Society shares vision for multi-use valley trail

Gellatly Bay Trails and Parks Society volunteers gave a presentation on an envisioned Trail of the Okanagan to include the Westside. The 370-kilometre continuous cycling and walking trail from Sicamous to Osoyoos would follow a traditional First Nation transportation and trading route. City staff will keep connected with the society on future concepts and funding opportunities.
