City of West Kelowna administrative offices closed on Monday

In response to the recent passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the federal government announced that September 19, 2022, has been designated a National Day of Mourning, a one-time federal holiday. The City of West Kelowna observes federal holidays and most non-essential services will be paused on September 19.
City administrative offices at City Hall, Engineering, Parks, Public Works and Bylaw Services will return to regular operating hours on Tuesday, September 20.
Regular Monday curbside garbage, recycling, yard waste collection will continue normally and is not affected. The Westside Residential Waste Disposal and Recycling Centre on Asquith Road in West Kelowna and North Westside transfer station will provide normal service on Monday, September 19. In addition, the City’s recreation programs outside of schools will run as previously scheduled.

City flags will continue to be half-masted at City Hall and will remain lowered until sunset on September 19.
