Celebrate the final stretch of summer with country night at Music in the Park
Date of Issue: Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025
As summer winds down, join us this Friday for the second to last Music in the Park show of the season! Enjoy an evening of expressive alternative-country storytelling and standout vocals before we wrap up the series.
Opening the night is Jese Lawrence, a passionate singer-songwriter who blends country, folk, and blues, into a sound that’s as raw as it is real. Drawing from his unique life experiences as a farm-raised army veteran and wildland firefighter, Jese’s music reflects lived experience, resilience and soul.
Closing the night is Shalisa, a bold pop-country artist known for her emotionally charged performances. Backed by her talented trio, she fuses soul, rock, and country into songs that are both empowering and deeply relatable. Her set promises a powerful connection with the audience through music that resonates from the heart.
This free, family-friendly event takes place Friday nights at the scenic Annette Beaudreau Amphitheatre at Memorial Park, located at 3737 Old Okanagan Highway.
Music in the Park is extended
But don’t pack up your lawn chairs just yet, this isn’t the last show of the season.
We’re closing out Music in the Park with a high-energy encore featuring a band you already know and love. After being rained out earlier this summer, LIPS: The Ultimate Rolling Stones Experience is back by popular demand and now rescheduled for Friday, Aug. 29!
Mark your calendars and stay tuned, as this epic tribute will officially close the curtain on the 2025 Music in the Park season!
