What’s new - Cemetery Seasonal Maintenance Notice
To all visitors of Westbank Cemetery,
We understand and deeply respect the importance of honouring loved ones interred at Westbank Cemetery with memorials such as flowers and mementos.
As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain the cemetery grounds, the City of West Kelowna Cemetery team has been conducting seasonal clean-up work throughout the spring and summer.
During this time artifacts that do not comply with the Cemetery Bylaw, including artificial flowers, glass vases and mementos were removed from interment sites, section by section. The Cemetery team will be conducting a final clean up of all interment sites throughout September and these items will not be retained so we kindly encourage families to collect any memorial items they wish to keep before Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025.
For more information including the cemetery rules and regulations, please refer to the City of West Kelowna Bylaw No.0318.
If you have any questions, please contact the Cemetery Office at 778-797-8875 or email to cemetery@westkelownacity.ca.
