Parks Amenity Donation Program
Leave a legacy gift for your community
The Parks Amenity Donation Program provides an excellent opportunity for families and individuals to give back to the community and enhance the city's green spaces by providing benches, picnic tables, trees and other amenities.
The program also provides means for families or individual donors to recognize loved ones, acknowledge their love of parks or highlight their community achievements.

Community legacy contributions
Individuals who wish to donate land to the City of West Kelowna should contact our Legal Services Department at 778-797-1000 or email us.
Please read Council's Parks Naming Policy.
When selecting a park or park feature name, the City considers the following in order of priority:
- Geographical features or adjacent street or subdivision names, excluding real estate and development company names
- Historical or cultural association with the site
- Significant or predominant plants or animals that are indigenous to the park
- Persons of historical significance or community heroes
Where acknowledgement of a donation or significant individual contribution is being considered, recognition should be in a form of a plaque, or other feature. A donation of land, facilities or funds for an acquisition, renovation or maintenance of land or facilities, does not obligate the City to name the land, facility or any portions of them after an individual, family or organization.
