Planning to run in the municipal election? Pick up the nomination package today

People interested in being a candidate in the municipal election can pick up their nomination package at City Hall at 3731 Old Okanagan Hwy.
West Kelowna voters will elect one mayor, six councillors, and one school trustee for School District No. 23 this October.
Collect your candidate nomination package
Nomination packages are available to pick up at City Hall or online at westkelownacity.ca/election. Appointments are encouraged by emailing elections@westkelownacity.ca but are not required. Original nomination forms must be submitted during the nomination period, which runs from 9 a.m. on Sept. 1 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 11.
To be eligible to run for local office, candidates must be a Canadian citizen, be at least 18 years old on election day, have lived in British Columbia for at least six months before the nomination date, and not be disqualified from holding office.
Candidates are encouraged not to wait until the final day to pick up and submit their nomination documents. The City of West Kelowna requires candidates to have 25 nominators who are qualified electors of the municipality.
West Kelowna’s general local election will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17, with advance voting days on Oct. 7, 13, and 15. Special voting opportunities and voting by mail will also be available to help ensure all eligible voters can participate.
