What's new

The City of West Kelowna will be able to replace its 21-year old ammonia chiller at Jim Lind Arena and Royal LePage Place, thanks to a $442,000 to a grant from the Province of BC. View the full News Release.

Jim Lind Arena is located at Mount Boucherie Recreation Complex. It runs from September to June, accommodating practices, games and tournaments in figure skating, hockey and ringette. The arena also offers public skating, drop in skating, hockey and ringette programs.

In 2013, Jim Lind Arena underwent a $1.1 million renovation designed to extend the life of the 40 year old arena for a further 25 to 30 years. The Government of Canada provided $250,000 toward the renovation under the Recreational Infrastructure Program. The upgrade included:

  • New concrete ice floor
  • New boards and glass
  • New energy efficient rink lights
