Declaration of West Kelowna Mayor, Councillor and School District 23 Trustee candidates

The nomination period for mayor, councillor and school trustee candidate has now ended. At 4 p.m. today in Council Chambers, Polly Palmer, Chief Election Officer for the City of West Kelowna, declared the following candidates for the 2026 General Local Election in West Kelowna:

Candidates have until 4 p.m. on September 18 to withdraw their names from the ballot if desired. The official declaration of election by voting or acclamation will be made on September 21 at 4 p.m.
The 2026 General Local Election takes place Saturday, Oct. 17. There are many ways to vote:
- In person on election day from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. at West Kelowna City Hall, Glenrosa Elementary School, Hudson Road Elementary School or Constable Neil Bruce Middle School.
- During advance voting at West Kelowna City Hall on Oct. 7, 13 and 15 from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- By Mail: request a mail ballot package at City Hall during normal office hours or online and return it either in person or via mail no later than 8 p.m. on General Voting Day, October 17.
- Curbside Voting: on voting days, people with mobility issues can park in a designated area marked “Curbside Voting” and call the phone number listed on the sign.
