Effective immediately, wood burning campfires are allowed again in many Central Okanagan areas. Campfires are not permitted at any time within the City of Kelowna.

Open burning season has officially come to an early end in the Central Okanagan. The April 3 ban across the region also continues for all wood-burning campfires.

Effective immediately, all campfires are prohibited throughout all Central Okanagan municipalities and electoral area Fire Service Areas.
The ban will remain in effect until further notice to support COVID-19 health efforts by reducing potential air pollution.
