Community invited to review draft Community Safety and Well-Being Plan and take the survey

After months of community engagement and collaboration, the City of West Kelowna is inviting the community to review the draft Community Safety and Well-Being Plan and share your feedback before the plan is finalized. Make sure to share your feedback before 4:30 p.m. on July 31, 2026.

The draft plan reflects input gathered from residents, community organizations, businesses and community partners throughout Phases 1 and 2 of engagement. Community engagement identified six interconnected themes impacting safety and well-being in West Kelowna. Together, residents, businesses, community organizations, Indigenous partners, and City staff shared ideas on how to address these challenges, helping shape 8 Strategic Actions that will guide implementation of the Community Safety & Well-Being Plan.

Residents are encouraged to review the draft plan and provide feedback by completing the Phase 3 survey. The City wants to know:

  • Does the draft plan reflect what you shared during the engagement process?
  • Is there anything missing?
  • Will the proposed actions help make West Kelowna a safer, healthier and more connected community?

Feedback received during this final phase of engagement will help refine the plan before it is presented to Council for consideration.

Residents can also review the July 7, 2026 Council report, watch the Council presentation and read the Summary Report and the Needs Assessment and Engagement Findings Full Report from phase 1 and 2.

Visit OurWK.ca/communitysafetyplan to review the draft plan, complete the survey and learn more. Survey closes at 4:30 p.m. on July 31, 2026.
