Call for election workers: applications now open

The City of West Kelowna is hiring approximately 150 election workers for the 2026 General Local Election this October and applications are now open.
Election workers are needed for advance voting days on Oct. 7, 13 and 15, as well as general voting day on Oct. 17.
Available positions include:
- Presiding Election Official (prior election experience required) – $500 per day
- Alternate Presiding Election Official (prior election experience required) – $400 per day
- Election Official (no prior election experience required) – $325 per day
Election workers help with voting place operations, assist voters, issue ballots, support accessibility and ensure a smooth election process. Training and assignment details will be provided closer to the election period.

Applications are now being accepted online. Visit westkelownacity.ca/work to get started. Successful applicants will be invited to an in-person interview on Sept. 9 or 10.
