Paving begins on Old Okanagan Highway

Drivers can expect single lane alternating traffic during construction times between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Monday through Friday, with two-way traffic resuming in the evenings after 6 p.m.

Access to driveways, businesses, and emergency services will be maintained. Motorists should expect traffic control personnel to be on site and brief delays during daytime construction hours.

Please also note that no parking along Old Okanagan Highway between Chieftain Road and Reece Road is permitted during this time. Bylaw enforcement will be active, and vehicles parked in restricted areas may be towed to allow crews to complete the work.

Crews will work as quickly and safely as possible to complete this work within the provided timeline, but the schedule is subject to weather conditions, contractor scheduling, and other factors.

For everyone’s safety and out of respect for neighbours, please follow traffic control signs, slow down, and move over for crews. Please follow posted speed limits in and around work zones and along detour routes.
