Enjoy the Labour Day long weekend in West Kelowna

City Hall and administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7 for the Labour Day statutory holiday and will reopen by 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Essential services, including fire rescue, police, water, sewer and waste collection, will be available.

Service reminders on Labour Day:

  • Curbside collection will occur on the regular schedule.
  • Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule on Monday, Sept. 7.
  • For urgent drainage, sewer or water emergencies, call 778-797-2246.
  • For urgent bylaw matters, contact West Kelowna RCMP non-emergency at 250-768-2880.
  • Non-urgent bylaw concerns can be reported online or by leaving a message at 778-797-8810.

Please note: The Westbank Town Centre Kids Care Spray Park by Julia's Junction will be closing the week of Sept. 7 – 11 for the season. Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre will also be closed for public use from Sept. 5 - 20 for routine annual maintenance.

  • Buy seasonal fruit along the Westside Farm Loop       
  • Climb the Boucherie Rush Trail
  • Enjoy tastings on the Westside Wine Trail
  • Kayak or paddleboard on Gellatly Bay
  • Walk or bike along the scenic Boucherie Multi-use Pathway and Gellatly Bay Multi-use Corridor
  • Get active at the Boucherie or Anders Park pickleball courts
  • Hike Glen Canyon and Goats Peak Regional Parks
  • Wheel and roll around the Skateboard Park in Memorial Park
